OUR BACKGROUND
Knifing Around is the first in home, same day knife sharping service in Maine. Knifing Around offers hand sharpening on diamond stones to the York and Cumberland county areas of Southern Maine.
Proprietor Asa Jordan first learned how to sharpen knifes in Culinary Arts school and refined his technique over his almost two decade cooking career, where he sharpened the restaurants, colleagues and his personal knifes. Asa now seeks to bring his knowledge and passion for excellence to you and your knifes.

Mon - Fri: 9am - 5pm
Sat: 10am - 2pm
Sun: Closed
Pricing :
Pocket knifes, paring knifes and knifes up to 5 inches :$10.00 per
Knifes 6-9 inches : $20.00 per
Knifes 10-12 inches : $30.00 per
Knifes 12 inches and above : $40.00 plus 5.00 per inch over 12 (and my require more time)
Serrated Knifes: $25.00 per
Scissors : $15.00 per
Pruning shears (hand pruners) : $20.00 per
Tree Loppers & Hedge Shears : $35.00 per
Cast Iron / Carbon Steel Pan restoration and re-seasoning : Starting at $40.00 (Final cost dependent on condition)
Damaged edge (chips, nicks, rollovers and tip Re-profiling) : fee will be assessed per knife.
All services are by appointment only including Drop off.
